I love books. But I dislike books on book shelves ... wasting away, unused ... used. They should be passed around, passed on after they've been poured into you. Books are to be shared. They are not a monument to what you've read, what you're into or a measure of intelligence. They're just a way of getting into someone elses head for a while. Besides, they are made of trees .... x
That's really interesting Nell. I have a friend who believes the same thing, and as such only has a handful of books in her home - everything else she reads she passes on to others. It's a lovely philosophy :) x
